Abstract

we showed that the Hamilton–Jacobi equation can be formulated in both coordinate and momentum representations using differential one-forms that satisfy Poincaré’s lemma. We also showed that one of Hamilton’s equations follows from the Hamilton–Jacobi equation in the coordinate representation, whereas the other Hamilton equation follows from the Hamilton–Jacobi equation in the momentum representation.
